Q: I want to submit a spider. What is the 'Ident' field?
A: It's a string that vBulletin uses to identify the spiders. In the Who's Online page of your forum, on the bottom, there's an option to show user-agents. Turn that on, and the page will show a long string of info of the visitor. From this info, get the string that is unique to the spider, like 'Googlebot', that is the Ident.
Q: How do I know when the file is updated? How can I know the version of the file I have?
A: If you open your xml in a text editor, at the bottom there's info about the date you downloaded the file. You can compare dates to see if your file is old, with the 'last update' info on this site. Currently there's no system in place to let you know if the file has been updated, but you can subscribe the official thread on vbulletin.com where I'll always post if there are any updates.
